Lessons

ALl in a days WOrk!

There is no such thing as a typical lesson! On any given day you may find the student:

  • Playing games to reinforce theory concepts.

  • Composing original pieces.

  • Polishing up repertoire.

  • Solidifying rhythms using cups (think The Cup Song) and other rhythm instruments.

  • Practicing sight singing using solfege.

  • Playing or singing duets with Ms. Jen and friends.

Music is meant to be shared!

One of the most joyful aspects of learning music is getting to share your talent, skill, hard work, commitment, and dedication with others. Performance is a huge part of the process. Recitals provide an opportunity for student musicians to hone their music with a goal in mind, offers the chance to develop skills such as public speaking, and the opportunity to collaborate with other musicians.
