Piano Instruction

Who can learn?  Anyone from age 5 to adult is capable of learning to play the piano.   During our time together we will engage in a variety of activities such as music theory games, ear training, and even improvisation (anyone can do it)! It is a rewarding and altogether positive experience when a student masters a skill or performs well in a recital, at a nursing home or at home for family and friends.  We know that learning an instrument can help with academic subjects like math, but it can also be a wonderful stress reliever.

Subjects and concepts students will study in piano lessons are:
  • Notation and Theory - Reading and understanding written music.
  • Aural Skills - Listening critically.
  • Technique - Playing properly.
  • Repertoire - Mastering level appropriate songs and pieces.
